Sometimes it is easy to forget how important being a photographer is. I took some corporate pictures in early 2013 and a few months after I took the pictures one of the guys became very sick and ended up passing away a few months ago.  I ended up taking the last really good photo of him that I am sure his family will cherish for many years.  I didn't think much of the pictures at the time I took them because they weren't super exciting but even the not exciting ones can still be important. 

Sometimes I am capturing the changes someone goes through as they grow.  I was lucky enough to photography Eres when she was 5 days old and I recently photographed her and her family for holiday portraits.  Amazing to see how much she has changed now that she is 7 months old.
